I got to Ecofina with Daniel and Robert at 7:00 We were worried that the water was to low to get out but it was not a problem. The last few times we went we had fished towards Rock Island. But today we decided to try towards Aucilla instead. It turned out to be a good decision. The water temp ranged from 71-74 degrees and clear everywhere. We had 11 trout in the boat before 11:00 and had lost a few more at boatside. We had a pod of dolphin come around the boat and down our drift and mill around for a while. When they moved off the bite completly shut down, so we moved around trying to finish our limit. We fished till 3:00 and picked up 2 more trout and 2 sea bass. We caught around 50 or so shorts of each working our way down to Rock Island. The only thing that worked was any variation of gulf with white in it. We had a great day and wound up with 13 trout and 2 seabass. Talked to and met Blue spinner(nice to meet you) today.
We fished toward Aucilla also Hit-n-miss. We had 8 trout and 3 black sea bass by 1030. We were going to holler at you on 14 but heard you say yall had 11 on the radio and figured you had found them also. We went in and caught 1 nice 25 inch red before having to leave at 1230 in order to make it to a wedding. Great half day though.
good talking to you yesterday
me and the wife went back out at 4:00pm i got 1 red 22" and a 29" that she did not want to put back in the drink she got 2 trout
for the day we had 2 reds and 5 trout
One thing about the speed of light it gets here too early in the morning

That's a solid morning. What did you catch yours on? I for whatevere reason have only caught 1 red in my life(I tell myself that after I catch a limit of trout I'll move in and try for reds. But hardly ever get that last trout or two). What is your favorite method to catch them?

Sounds like you had a good day. Fish pics? How do you catch your reds?

Hit-n-miss we were just fishing natural gulps pretty much on the bottom about 6 to 8 ft for the trout. The red was caught on the same setup in throwing to the grass points and outer oyster bars.
