I purchased a used reel (Penn 330GTi) with a Penn Special Boat 6' foot rod.
The rod tip is missing the ceramic ring and I was wondering where I could take it to get it fixed?
Would Kevin's Sporting Goods or West Marine store be a good place?
The reel appears to be in good shape; where would you recommend to take it to have maintaince done it?
I hope to test it out at the old bridge by St. George Island and at the beach for trolling Red Drum and other large fish this weekend.
I always look forward to hearing from your fishing knowledge.
Thanks for any help

Re: RECOMMEND REEL AND ROD REPAIR SHOP?
I can help you with the reel maintenance. It will cost you $24 to clean and lube the Penn 330 GTi. Give me a call at 850-445-4889. You may also visit my webpage at www.reelrepairbyjim.com . I do not do rod repair at this time. You can contact Darrell Pack at 850.545.0914 . Darrell is a master rod builder that has decided to retire and do some repair to keep himself busy.

Sorry
I didn't know you did routine repairs on rods or I would have recommended you for the job.

No problem. I patterned my business model after an old Willie Nelson song, if you've got the money, I've got the time.fishinfool wrote:Sorry
