Last night I was searching the net for big bend and was thinking it was an area from say Cedar Key to Apalachicola but in reality my mind was saying it was from Homosassa to Apalachicola. Then I stumbled upon a graphic showing the big bend from somewhere around Deckle beach to Apalachicola.
Sooo ... what area do most people call the big bend?
What area do you call the Florida's Big Bend?

Thanks for the reply and I can see that. Although they all look like big bends to me. Over here in baker county fl, we call the big bend that little dip in the florida georgia line that st. george, georgia is in. I never called the gulf coast the big bend until I moved to dixie county years ago.

yeah, that's what I mean Jim, wikipedia has from the mouth of the suwannee to the west side of Apalachicola.
Florida Sportsman from Homosassa to the west side of Apalachicola.
The DEP (Fl. Department of Enviromental Protection) says Wakulla, Jefferson, Dixie, Taylor and Levy counties. I guess this mean starting in Yankeetown.
I think most people call it from suwannee/cedarkey to the west side corner or there abouts of Apalachicola bay.
Anyway I ain't going to loose any sleep over it, I just wanted to see what the average guy that fished it thought.
Thanks
SJ

Heck, the only part that's worth mentioning is just from Keaton Beach to Spring Warrior.
