Friday Lanark

Post by mjsigns »

After getting some rest from the moonlight fishing the night before, me and my old fishing buddy put the Cobia in at the ramp around 10:30am. By the looks of all the empty boat trailers there were plenty of folks already on the water ahead of us. We started fishing using silver phantoms under a C/T. We went out and fished around the sand bar and picked up 3 small trout and released them. There were some towering thunder clouds west around Eastpoint, and East to toward Panacea. We moved and set up a north to south drift parallel to the channel over the grass flats, all the time listening to the rolling thunder of the nearby storms. We quickly picked up our catching pace and had to start counting the ones in the cooler to make sure. We were catching trout so fast that we decided to release any that were shorter than 18â€
