The Ball Cutter

Known in Papua New Guinea as 'The Ball Cutter', the pacu has reportedly been responsible for the deaths of two fishermen in the Pacific nation, who died from blood loss after the fish had bitten off their testicles.

Initially thought to be a piranha, the fish caught in June was later confirmed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to be a pacu.

My question....

Why would you fish with the "boys" exposed in the first place?

Especially with "ball cutters" in the water.

Man those folks sure have a different concept for bait than I do. "Save the Boys" don't swim in Illinois.
I don't know when I'm gonna catch my next fish but I know when I do it's gonna be awesome!

This is clearly a case of one-up-manship as well as the negative effects of reality TV. Our northern brethen seeing how much fun the Southern boys were enjoying "Noodling" for catfish imported the Pacu and populated the lake. In order to then up the manhood ante they used their best two buddies as bait with obvious disastrus results. Hopefully, if our northern friends ever see a Sopchoppy worm grunting video they will fully comprend the process and not confuse intestinal worms and grunting!
