Anybody have a Lanark to Dog Island water clarity report?
Thinking about a Lanark inshore trip this weekend. Is the water on the backside of Dog and SGI getting any clearer.......or still strong tea?

I was there Saturday and it was pretty stained, but the bay was pretty churned up that day.

It was still tea colored on Monday, July 16. Looked almost the same as right after Debbie.rockyg wrote:Thinking about a Lanark inshore trip this weekend. Is the water on the backside of Dog and SGI getting any clearer.......or still strong tea?

Fished turkey point area today. Water was a little stained towards the AP area and a little dirty by lanark market. clear in between.
Re: Anybody have a Lanark to Dog Island water clarity report
I prefer the water to be a little stained, some of the biggest trout caught out of my boat by me or my son and other fishing partners has been in stained water. If the water is stained but not full of silt or mud the fish do not spook as easy as in gin clear water. At least that has been my experiance. I say go if you get a chance, you will not catch em on the couch. Good luck.rockyg wrote:Thinking about a Lanark inshore trip this weekend. If you tell us where they are, I am sure we would all keep our distance.Jumptrout51 wrote:Stay off my holes.

When I caught that last big trout I said to my son......"hey, we must be in one of JT's holes".Jumptrout51 wrote:Stay off my holes.
