trolling motor
My troller seems like it has always slid down the shaft while in use. I have tightened the nut as far as it would go, and even stripped the handle out on one of them (I traded it for a different one further up the shaft at the head) but the other one doesn't get any tighter. Has anybody got a better solution then having to wrestle the motor up periodically throughout the day?

Maybe a small piece of rubber "like cut from a bike innertube" between the shaft and the hold-down??
