NFGFC August 4th Tournament Results
The August Tournament was held out of the Econfina ramp. It was a great day out the Econfina, but with stained water it was a job to catch a nice limit of Trout. Many Anglers did manage a decent stringer though. Also, a big Thanks to JR’s Aucilla Store for providing the good eats at the weigh-in.
George Goodson, Jeff Rainey and Jimmy Milton easily took 1ST place with 5 slot Trout weighing 9.90 lbs winning them $145. They also won the Meridian Surveying Mystery fish. Their SailCat weighed 3.58 lbs winning them $50.
2nd place team of Rick Bushatz and Brad Castleberry weighed 5 slot fish for a total of 8.50 lbs. This won them $87. They also took the largest slot Trout with a 2.18 lb Trout winning them $125.
3rd place team of Steve Stinson and Andrew Stinson w/ 5 slot fish weighing in at 8.46 lbs won them $58.
The Redfish side pot was won by Jeff Trent, Austin Trent and Chuck Collins. Their Redfish weighed in at 5.19 lbs and won them $190. They also won the Combo side pot for $90 with a total weight of 6.90 lbs.
Kevin’s Fine Guns and Sporting Goods $50 gift certificate was won by the team of Gary Zellner, Tad Davis, Kathy Knous with a 1.26 lb Flounder.
A BIG Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to those that did well!

Nice job Rick and Brad on another well-run tournament. And congrats to you both and all the winners.
JT and I had a good time even in tough fishing conditions. The water was warm and dis-colored, but we did manage to land all eligible species. We just couldn't locate any bigger trout despite covering a lot of water.
Enjoyed fishing against some good anglers. Thanks JT for another fun day (and for using your boat and providing the secret bait).
If y'all haven't fished a club event, you really should give it a try. You'll learn a lot, including perhaps new water, and it's always fun regardless of whether you win, place or show. The food and raffle prizes ain't too shabby, either.
