Ran out and seas were flat calm, light western breeze. Ran up close to the Aucilla river area and moved into shore to look for a redfish of two?? Casted artificials for three hours, spoons, top water -- not a hit.there was plenty of bait along the coast and in the shallows, actually too much bait and i didn't see any surface action, nor birds. The water temperature out in four foot of water was just under eighty degrees. The tide in the river was exreamly high when i launched. I think the rain water run off from the back country has displaced the salt water?? It didn't taste like salt water. When i got in around 1:30 PM, the tide should have been incoming, yet the water was still racing out with lots of trash in it. I am thinking too much rain water right now???
