Just had an aw $#!% moment, looking for some help
So, I tore my Shimano Symetre down to clean and oil it, and made a rookie mistake. Some sort of pawl fell out when I took the anti-reverse bearing off, and I didn't see where I it came from. Any ideas on where it goes? I found a schematic, but it wasn't much help. Thanks fellas.

I goes on the bottom of the reel. It holds the guide rod in. Your part is 8988 and it holds in part 8987.
If you are still having problems, I can put it back together for you.

Thanks fishinfool! I was trying to find a place for it under the anti-reverse bearing. That was the first time I've had a shimano torn down like that. Thanks again!
