Weekend Inshore Weather 12-28-12

Not pretty.
Today: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Partly sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tonight: SE wind 5 to 15 kt becoming S after midnight. A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday: SSW wind around 15 kt becoming WNW in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am, then a slight chance of showers between 11am and 1pm. Seas around 1 ft.

Saturday Night: NW wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. Partly cloudy. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday: NNE wind 10 to 15 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday Night: ENE wind around 10 kt. Mostly clear. Seas 1 ft or less.

DT, I looked at that report and thought the same thing, but I thought that it might be some type of special weather pattern ya'll have on up the coast

It's JT51 thing. He uses the water in the mud puddle at his house to gauge wave height...

click on this link.
go to the map on the lower right.
place your mouse cursor on a given spot and click it.
the forecast for that specific area will come up in the left side forecast block.
I use a spot near Rock Island for the inshore forecast.
Because of the bend in our Big Bend area wind direction could be different for Lanark as compared to Keaton. Just so you know.
