I installed 2 Big Jon adjustable rod holders on my G3. Have not tried them out yet, but soon I hope.

That area gets a lot of use in my boat. And if(?) they are not real tight, they could rotate down and easily loose a rod??

I don't think that will be a problem. They have a spring loaded base you have to pull to change position. But time will tell.
