I've been chasing a tripletail this summer since I started my internship here in Brunswick, Ga. Between the weather and coming home to fish the gulf every weekend I had limited opportunities to go out and chase these creatures. Finally, this weekend I was able to weather a small craft advisory and get out there to try for em. Well, I got more than I ever dreamed. We found a good looking can and started working it and after the third drift by it WHAM! hooked up on something. Got it in and ended up weighing twelve pounds and 24". Great experience and it felt good to finally lift this curse off of me with such a big fish.
The next day we managed to get out and pull out one non-keeper between thunderstorms.
