Tin Can II First Family Run

Post by mjsigns »

Took the whole family and put the boat in at the Fort at 6:45pm today.
Once the old motor started the kids eyes lit up and the wife smiled and we headed toward the lighthouse. I am extremely pleased to report that the boat performed perfectly. Once we hit the gulf we ran into a little choppy water and got sprayed a few times. The kids loved it. We were going to go to the bird rack, but stopped short because of the choppy seas and the occasional spray. Dropped the anchor on the flats and we ate some sandwiches and apples for dinner and made a few casts as the sun began to turn a dark orange and sink into the horizon. Pulled up the anchor and turned on the running lights and headed back to the fort. Successfully put the boat back on the trailer without any problems or even getting my feet wet. That was our first family outing together in a boat, and I forgot to take the camera.....

Thanks TC
