Best place to go right now?

Post by kirt »

Was thinking about going and fishing around Yates Creek, I am sure the water will be too dark to fish between Spring Warrior and Econfina. Any report in visibility around Yates to Keaton? I have taken an unusually long break because of the rain and dont have the slightest clue right now.

Thanks

Thanks Carson. My family certainly enjoyed finding them this summer down there and they were getting thin on our last trip down almost a month ago. Wow, it's been a month, I do need to make the drive this weekend!
kirt, sorry for hijacking your post but if you can make the drive, I do recommend Lanark, some of the nicest people to do business with. If you do, make sure you visit Carson and Mike in the store and they can give you some tips on where others may be getting into the fish. Good luck wherever you go!

the fish still bite in the dark water. Fish 8-10 feet of water and bring your shark gloves.

Yesterday, we put in at Mash's Sand, and we caught some reds, trout, jacks and hard-heads east of Ochlockonee bridge on finger mullet, little pinfish, Chum spoons and a vibrax spinner (with Gulp mullet) near break-lines. Some birds were feeding on baitfish. I was surprised that there weren't more big fish around, but one 25 1/2 inch red was the biggest we
netted. Thankfully, the wind was not bothersome.
