Econfina 10/17

Post by ugadawg »

One of the best perks about being a teacher is getting breaks from work on a somewhat regular basis. The last part of this week is fall break, so me and a couple buddies decided to go down to Econfina. Its been quite a while since I've been down. Stayed on the water about 5 hours and ended up with our three man limit of trout, and a red and flounder. Water was still stained but the fish didn't seem to notice. Will be headed back down again soon!! :-D :-D

Impressive. Me and a buddy were out there last week. I worked the creeks from dawn till noon. They were devoid of life except for the mullet. Bait schooled outside the mouths, but I could not get a hit on jigs, top or spoons. Shallow wasnt' working for me. Fished from 2' to a couple hundred yards up creeks. My buddy did alright at 9'+ on day one. Day two, nothing. Still seems hit or miss....
