Big reds and nice trout out of Panacea - Sunday May 18th

Post by bman »

My wife went to visit her sister for a few days in North Carolina this last weekend.
That gave me the opportunity to fish with a few buddies :-D
Weather stunk Friday and Saturday. Wind blew and it was rough everywhere I would normally fish.
Finally Sunday it calmed down and we had a great day on the water.

That's a Championship Tervis Keith...

Started slow with smaller trout and some puppie reds

Had a little cobia pay a visit

and found out a Yozuri Shrimp is a killer blowfish bait

Then we found the big reds working a cut through an oyster bar

That's a nice mess of fish. Sounds like the reds have been busy around Panacea lately.

He just followed me to my spots. I had to text him and tell him to stay out of the way. He did catch some nice fish while potlicking though :smt064
