Left the LH at 10 just before low tide. about 6 inches of water in
the channel, but got through.

Went out east hoping to see some birds, saw some surface action around
a deep hole, but no luck. Headed for the oyster bars to fish rising tide.

Got into the rock bass again, brought home a few dinners.
Kept getting caught with the jigs on the bottom, decided to use a
make shift grouper rig with a triple swivel and weight on bottom.
Just cast a 30 inch cobia, really, second cobia in that spot this month.

On my bait runner I floated a catfish under a CT, with 60lb wire.
A VERY large shark had me cut off in no time, fin came 1 1/2 out of the
water, lots of fun in 6 feet of water.

Nice day with my wife on the water, but the black flies were mean.
Long pants for me through fall.

It was low, we started going a few miles east of the channel and usually it's 3 to 4 feet, I look at the depth finder and it 2 feet or less, the water
the color of old coffee and I'm not sure. I slow up and we never hit
bottom, or mess up the grass but it was low.

Sounds like a great time. Were you on the east or west flats?

Good report rx. I would rather have the rock bass than trout to eat. :lick:
