surf fishing shell point beach

Has anyone done any surf fishing at shell point beach? What species should I expect and what methods should I use for catching them?

Trout reds and sheepshead hang out around the bars and in the holes near the beach.
I bet your best bet is reds on the bottom but you will catch a lot of cats and sharks too

You would do much better out of a kayak....

Also...its a tiny chilly to expect much at shell point beach right now. From shore, you'd be better off trying to fish in the rivers for reds.
