Cannibal frog?

Post by bpac »

Had a first tonight. While fishing for bass at the pond by my house I pulled my weedless frog by some pads and got hit hard by what I presumed to be a bass. To my surprise the "catch" started to jump out of the water and in every which direction. When I finally got it in it was a big old frog!

May not be that crazy to some of y'all, but it gave me a good laugh tonight to see it pound a good ol kermy frog from bass pro.

Had one do the same thing to my livetarget frog a few years ago at a national forest pond at night. Pitched it out, heard a splash and felt something tug at it. Set the hook and reeled a big bullfrog in! Those guys are merciless.
