Where around Tally to practice using a Angler paddle board
I just purchased a Imagine Wizard Angler Paddle board. I want to practice using it (how to paddle on it, how to climb on it if I fall off, etc) and I live in Tallahassee.
Where can I go to practice using it before I begin taking it to St George Island and Cape San Blas?
Any advice would gladly be appreciated!

Maclay Lake, Maclay Gardens State Park off Thomasville Road. Ramp and sand beach and protected water to get your sea legs.

Thanks for the replies! I just want to make sure we can practice with the paddle board without gators coming to visit.

The gators would be good practice for the sharks

The Wacissa River seems to be a pretty nice spot. Enough gators to provide incentives not to fall off, not too many boats causing wake.

Lake bradford if you can get access. I even ran my 17' boat there years and years ago from the Rez(had students with me).
Plenty of traffic keeping the gators away during the day at least.
I'd just go to wakulla beach though.
