Can't give much of a report. Fished two afternoons. First day: run up on a sandbar (low speed) and take some little shells in the intake. Motor stops peeing. Takes a while to get to where I can clean it out. By this time a storm is approaching. I tell them we are gonna fish a little anyways. Daughter very shortly catches a rat red. She wonders why I am frantically reaching for net, but sees why when I lift it. 16 spotter (her 2nd time, her first ever red was a 16 spotter). We catch a couple of little trout and play with some ladyfish. Wife and daughter get nervous, even though the Captain tells them we can just stay where we are and it will bypass us (I am ultra cautious and they know that). So we run back in. I tie the boat off and let the storm pass us (about 30 minutes) but can tell wife is bored, so we head back to base camp.
head out next day and get to ramp. Launch boat. Spun hub and no spare. Even if I had one at that point, I was at that point where you start to lose calm reasoning and was frustrated (due to other minor issues). So I say, "Let's just load it back on the trailer while I have not yet totally passed in to foul mood city". We do. Had a nice dinner with my wife instead.
So in our 45 minutes of fishing in two days, we caught one rat, 2 trout and several ladyfish. (I was there for a conference, the fishing was supposed to be a bonus).

Re: West bay
