St Marks 10/24

Post by eldouble »

My son and I put in at the light house around 7am. Anchored and trolled the East river oyster bars with no bites 1 to 2 hours after low tide. Headed out to the flats and was beat to death with chop. Managed to get 2 lady fish on the line, but they released the hook jumping from the water before I could get them on the boat. Went back to the East river and trolled the high tide bars and shoreline, and still no bites. I'm starting to think I am the only person to never have caught a redfish.

Keep fishing for them, and you will catch one. Maybe try some different bars or creek mouths might help. I caught a 15'' one last trip out fishing over a mile out on the flats. On gulp shrimp, they like those. ;-)
