keaton

Post by jzimmer »

It was a good afternoon to get all the reels taken apart and cleaned , which I did and got to thinking with this warm weather maybe one more trip to Keaton in 2015.Looks like a front coming in latter part of week so thinking Tuesday and Wednesday might be good. Has anybody been that way in last couple of days.Seems like the fish should be at the creek mouths and maybe 3 /4 ft.

I've not been in several weeks but they are catching fish nearer Spring Warrior in one to three foot water.

Go. Go fish. Seriously.

Never hesitate. If anything, you learn how to navigate waters in unfamiliar situations. ..and maybe slap a few fish around along the way :-D

He is right, now is the time to go. Spring Warrior, 3.5 ft., and they are biting everything. We caught them on shrimp, gulps under a CT, gulps bounced along the bottom, and a mirrodine. Did best on shrimp though. There are piles and piles of shorts that you have to wade through, but you can catch a good limit pretty easy right now.

This was today's catch:

That looks really good ugadawg! Getting my stuff together now to take my kids tomorrow. Did you catch these around the bars or out farther?

On the flats. We tried the bars and caught a few, but had the best results on the grass flats.
