...aka the freshwater part. I think my first ever post here was about Mullet fishing. I was looking for the best bait/technique. Having fished for them alot since then, I don't think that was ever the real problem. In other words, they'll bite several things just like any other fish if you just fish right.
I think the real problem is the fact that my Wacissa and Aucilla rivers are just so wide that they mullet don't pay mind to anything you throw at them. Then if you actually catch them feeding, they're so skiddish that they're gone soon as they even sniff trouble. When I do manage to get something near a mullet though, they usually give it a look atleast. Then sometimes they follow it, then sometimes even bite etc etc.
That brings me to the Econfina. It's narrow, so I would be able to keep everything in front of me. I've never seen a mullet above the mouth of that river though, but I haven't spent as much time on that river either. Has anybody here even seen 1?

I caught several with a gold spoon while I was targeting redfish on the econfina back in September 2015. It was a first for me.
