Freshwater fishing is a welcome change now and then. Even if its a farm pond.
We anticipated catching some Blue Gill perch or freshwater water catfish. We fished for about a half hour without catching anything but did notice a rather bad smell coming from the water in the pond. Upon further investigation we discovered a ditch with some putrid water flowing into the pond
We also noticed the ditch ran up the hill to this big hog pen.
Then I got a bite. I pulled in the fish with the cane pole I was using and then I saw this. We immediately quit fishing.

Re: HOGFISH
Captain Charlie, you get the prize! Hope you didn't throw it away, you and the HOGFISH COULD HAVE JOINED THE CIRCUS. Looks like it might have been mixed with pond SUCKERS! Surprised they were not rooting around. Thanks for the enjoyment.

Re: HOGFISH
Well, we catch what we can. Considering the weather.
