Rapala Skitter Walk in chrome pattern
Heddon Super Spook Jr. in bone
DOA 1/4-ounce shrimp in glow/gold glitter and root beer
Sureketch 1/8 & 1/4-ounce jig heads with touts in assorted colors (light and dark)
Aqua Dream 3/8-ounce weedless spoon with single J-hook in gold and pink
DOA 5.5 CAL jerk bait in glow (rig with a 4/0 worm hook or nose hook with 1/0 Eagle Claw Circle Sea hook)
Throw in some BPS clacker corks in neon yellow and you'll be set.

Good luck!

Add some 5/0 wide gap Gamakatsu worm hooks and a few packs of Zoom Flukes in pearl, pumpkin green and pumpkin brown. Fish them weightless with only the hook and fluke. Get some Z Man paddlers, Berkeley Gulp shrimp in new penny, natural, and some other colors, and some jig heads in 1/8th and 1/4 ounce. Don't forget some 14 and 20 pound Fluorocarbon leader and use a 2 1/2 foot leader tied uni to uni to your braid.

If you buy only one of everything that is 'HOT FOR THE DAY" you'll need more than one tackle box. I have about four just as full as they can be and need to buy another one. What may be on FIRE one day is cold the next.

The only way out is to make a deal with your wife to buy a new bait only when she buys a new pair of shoes.

I've caught more fish dreaming about what a bait would catch than actually catching.

Have fun.

95% of the time I fish two baits- gulp on a jig or a topwater.
find the color and lure you like and stock up on them.
I like the slayer pink jighead the best ;-)

I fish mostly jig with whatever they want that day until I find the combo.

I get bored too quickly with topwater, I have no idea why. I will fish a suspended bait all day long though, mullet colors. Love to see a top blow up though. Gold spoons are high on my list-Johnson treble when I want to fish it faster and Aquadream when I want to slow it down.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?

Try some gold colored spoons in the 1/2 to 3/4 oz. sizes.
