. Can't wait till next year. Blue Spinner is a great guy. Daniel and I were having trouble in his boat once and he stopped not once but twice to check on us. Look forward to your pics.flatsjunky777 wrote:We had a great trip Hit-n-Miss. Glad we could all go down there together. Glad I finally got to meet Blue Spinner as well. Very nice man. Hope to do it again soon. I will also be posting pics of our catch later. My wife has the pictures on her phone and she is trying to send them to me to post.
Sounds like a great day. You fish east or west? Curious how you hook your shrimp?Fishdawg wrote:Monday report: Got to the ramp about 7:00 with my dad. Back with a limit of trout about 1:00. We had 2 trout over 20", 3 trout 19", and the rest were 16"-18". Nice, fat, healthy trout! We must have caught 30 shorts. 1 Spanish Mack, 1 bluefish, 4 bsb, 1 lady fish, and 1 ole nasty sailcat. Dad fished with shrimp under a ct, and I fished new penny gulp under a ct. He caught the biggest trout on a live shrimp, but I was wearing him out on gulps. He finally changed to a gulp, and we used up a whole jar of them rascals. I did lose a nice cobia that hit right at the boat. Great day on the water with my 79 year old dad celebrating Confederate Memorial Day off from work! Precious memories!!
. Thanks they always get my shrimp. I'll try that.Fishdawg wrote:Dad hooks his shrimp through the middle near the head. We have a cousin that guides out of Tybee Island, and he put us on to this. We usually fish toward Hickory Mound and Rock Island, but we went towards the west today. All of our biggest trout were full of roe! These gals are ready to spawn!
