Keaton scalloping report. 7/23/16

Post by Hit-n-Miss »

The five of us(my wife, son, her friend & husband and myself) got to the ramp around 7:30 to head out. And guess who I saw there. Peng aka Breambuster. Image. Image. I spoke to him and we headed out. Image. We went and fished around Dekle for a while but not much to show for it. Image. Image. Ok no fish to take home so it's time for swimming. Went to my best spot at Dekle. The water was clear the grass perfect but no scallops. Not any. Some time to do some shark trolling I mean scallop trolling. Image. We finally find some towards Grassy. Image. Image. Image. Wound up with about 5 gallons so we got to cleaning them. Image. While we are cleaning my wife usually keeps swimming. And she found the worlds smallest scallop. Image. Of course then it was off to the ramp follies. Image. Was not terrible it took about 30 minutes. But a great day on the water with family and friends. And Peng I want to see that report. Lol your the best fisherman I know.

good seeing you at keaton. We picked up a limit of sea trout' mostly on the rising tide in 4 to 5 foot. Also found a few scallops, enough for an appetizer, but I don't have the patience to pick up a limit when they are sparse. Water was a warm 82 to 87 degrees. Lots of floating grass and a few hundred boats :-D :-D

. What did you catch to trout on? Can you post a picture of what you netted. I still would like to get on a boat with you one day and learn how you catch them. Good to see y'all.

mostly pin fish. Peng did hook a few on plastics. We picked up some nice fish, several at 19 to 20. Sorry no pics this trip. And we should fish together at some point.

Yeah, but the trailer looks good.

By the way, I'm really liking the Meguiars Trailer Corrosion Protectant so far. The water runs right off after pulling out of the ramp and beads up when I rinse it down with fresh too.
