Shrimping?

Post by Joeseminole18 »

What's the deal with em? Can I net them now, or no? No boat, so I'd be stuck from shore---hopefully around the Ochlockonee area.

Anyone have any advice or tell me how to get started?

From what I've heard castnetting from the beach at Mud Cove has been hot for shrimp.

Yeah, Fall because they're concentrated with moving out of the rivers.
Joeseminole18, I found myself wondering about eating Mud Cove shrimp given the recent mercury question that included Ochlocknee River. % goes up the food chain so it might not be an issue, but shrimp do eat full time off the bottom ...?
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

Ah, yeah, interesting question. These pages are still on the current "fishing" page but I'll post links too.

Okay, I guess I can figure out where that is....so do I just go and randomly throw my net for a few hours? Can you bait for them, etc?
