Econfina / St. Marks Video

Post by big bend gyrene »

Have shared before, but been a while and guessing a few board members old and new will enjoy... a video that I put together on a whim after seeing lots of great photos by RHTFISH on BBF and Facebook. Reached out to him and asked if he minded me putting some of his images (and a few of my own including the St. Marks pics) to music and he thankfully agreed.

Turns out the video has become the most viewed one I have on YouTube.

Deer hunting, land work, and bass fishing just yards from the house have kept me from making my first trip to Ecky in 2017 but I'm sure eager for it to warm up enough for the cobes to show up... place soothes my soul like no other.

. Yep that's it. Keep saying I'm gonna film the run out and always forget. For people that don't know the river it's a good reference on how to do it.

Always nice to see those videos again. Some gorgeous shots.

Launched at Shields on Friday and Gary, the fork lift operator, told me a buddy of his caught a 40-inch cobia on Rotary last week. The expected cold snap later this week may slow 'em down some, but it's shaping up to be an early season for sure.

I watch the Econfina video regularly, especially this time of year. I manage a farm supply and it's near impossible for me to go fishing during the Spring. That video gets me through the jitters......or gives them to me. Either way,

As always thanks BBG for sharing the video. I have been blessed to observe the Econfina since 1970 on hundreds of occasions and never cease to enjoy and get goosebumps when I see images.

With the beauty of the area, the great Mr. Frankie Laine singing and quote from Norman Maclean how can it not be great!

My wife asks me regularly why I still take so many pics and vids of the areas: simple answer...."I probably have all I need but will never have all I want." :D

My most watched vid is https://youtu.be/vrAjOOAaW2k.
