Got a late start, didn't get to my spot until 2:00ish......Soaked a SOB for a good while with no takers..started carolina fishing it and caught a "rat" red....Put a big skrimp on and sent it off......Felt something....tighten the line...weight.....set the steel to it....drag commences to peel of at a high rate.....10-15 minutes later the weight becomes dead and still.... ...Yep, I knew it...big stinger.....finally got a glimpse and high tailed it to terra firma.......I wasn't staying in the water with it.....Nice fight, broke it off in the surf..Then walked another 25 yards away to get back in, I was skeered
Ended up catching another "rat" on the "secret weapon".....Another day playing the sand with Joseph and my bride.....
Great Picture !
That is also one thing I would hate to step on.
Nice to know others catch stingrays also. They are a challenge to bring in, and they make you think you hooked something really big!
