Senior Lifetime Park Pass Price Increase

The $10 Lifetime Senior Pass to National Parks, Refuges etc., is set to increase to $80 next month on the 28th. If you are 62 or older and can see value in the pass, don't wait until the price increase to get one. They sell them at St. Marks, in Crawfordville at the Headquarters, and bunch of other locations.

Thanks, I mailed mine off Friday. I usually have my duck stamp with me, but the other day at Glynn Springs, I had to pull cashola to get to watch the grandchild and his parents swim in a crowded spring that sounded like one big Spanish lesson.

I don't use one, but why a 70% increase in the price? Seems greedy to me.

It's a big increase, but it's still a good deal for seniors. The regular annual pass already costs $80.00 per year, so a lifetime pass at age 62 for that same price really can't be complained about.

Lighthouse is national, St. George is state. Two different passes/jurisdictions.

You can buy the federal duck stamp at the SMNWR for unlimited launches. The state parks system sells individual and family annual passes, starting at $75. They do give a veteran's discount.

If you launch more than a few times at either the lighthouse ramp or state parks (like St. Joe, Econfina, etc.), it pays to buy an annual pass.

Wish I was eligible for the Senior discount, but not quite there yet.

I bought mine in Crawfordville at the ranger station, but they sell them at St. Marks too. Online the cost is $20. I've used it to get into St. Marks and Leon Sinks so far, but it's supposedly good for free access to over 2000 Federal Rec. Sites. It also covers companions (up to 3) if the site has a per person charge like at The Castillo de San Marcos over in St. Augustine where the charge per person is $10. It's good for National Parks too like Everglades where the fee is $25 per vehicle.
