Quality fish for sure. Tough luck Steve, that yours didn't even make the leaderboard. It would have in most tournaments.

. For real. I saw a 50”er swim by our boat. It took a pin. Fight lasted about 2 seconds.Salty Gator wrote:Hard to believe a 15 lb cobia took it

For sure. I found the weight of the first and second place reds a bit hard to believe. NFGFC fishes all year and we rarely see them over 7.5 lbs and still under 27 inches. We caught some reds, but none even close to the weights listed.SHOWBOAT wrote:those are nice inshore fish!

I caught a trout in it a few years back just over 29 inches and just under 6 pounds and didn't place I feel your pain.Makayla had the biggest shiner out the 3 weigh in lol.

We’re they pinching tails? Seen a couple 8# slot fish in our territory, but not a lot.

I don't know because we didn't weigh-in a red. The weigh in at Econfina was pretty relaxed. There were a lot of trucks, trailers and boats, and too many damn golf carts, but not a lot of folks actually weighing in fish.
