Memorial Day

Post by Juan »

salute3 SALUTE to all vets past and present and especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for God and Country. salute3

If the rain stops, it'll be a good time to mow the pastures since I won't be going close to the water on Memorial Day weekend. Any one brave and patient enough to tolerate the crowds.. GOOD LUCK

...and women (I have coached both male and female high school runners who are now serving in war zones).

And salute to my dad, who maintained B-52s flying out of Utopao during the Viet Nam conflict, while mom raised six kids stateside.

Incredible - and love having you with us still to this day!

My great uncle flew an SBD-3 in WWII and took out 5 in the Battle of the Coral Sea; Scouting Squadron 2 (VS-2), based onboard the aircraft carrier USS Lexington (CV-2). Later joined Fighter Squadron 10 (VF-10) and was killed during the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands on 26 October 1942.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

THANK YOU for your service PA!
My uncle Don flew P-38s in WWII. He didn't make it back but in his honor I proudly wear his wings on motorcycle vest.. (upper right above the flag.)

Dang Rick, I wasn’t aware you were also a vet. Judging from your patches, you were definitely in the action. Thank you
