The wind & floating grass made things tough, especially in the AM but the trip ended up productive on the incoming tide midday
when the wind died down a bit.
Landed 2 reds, 29" & 28" and 3 keeper trout, all in 3-5ft of water in the eastern flats drifting.
Both top-water, when absent grass, and electric chicken jerkbait was working. One red was caught
on the fly with a shrimp pattern.
Happy fishing!

Excellent, the redfish were in 3' to 5' on the east flats?
Very good.
Visibility was definitely better on that side

Visibility was definitely good and pretty much saw all bottom where we were. We saw a few other reds swimming around but no bonanza.Srbenda wrote:Excellent, the redfish were in 3' to 5' on the east flats?
