Bucks, Buckeyes, Baptism and Birds

Post by SHOWBOAT »

The iteration above is chronological and not in order of importance.

Made my annual trip back to the Buckeye State for archery season last week This year was a little different because my wife and son joined me. Flew up Wednesday 11/6. Thursday I sat on a nice buck that was appearing regularly on camera during the day. Ended up shooting a different mature deer; 20” spread, no top teeth and a deformed antler coming out his eyebrow. Couldn’t have been happier.

That opened up some time so i took Meghan to the Horseshoe for her fist Buckeye game Saturday

The big news from the weekend was Colin’s baptism Sunday. Later that day we noticed his first tooth (actually 2).

My dad was just back from PA chasing grouse, so Monday allowed me the opty to see his English setter in action.

One of my favorite weeks of the year every year, but this year was better than most. Could have probably added some more “B”s; a couple craft beers drank, saw my baby make her first snow angel, etc. alas, this is the best I could while trapped inside jury room...Go Bucks! God bless!

In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
