I’m currently trying to replace my Skiff decals and replace them with fresher looking ones. Spent a good while using the heat gun and scrape method but not much gain with the effort. Tried using some goo-off but just made a mess without helping.
Anyone know of a better way?

Removing Old Boat Decals
3m eraser wheel on a drill. Takes off the decal and glue at the same time.

Re: Removing Old Boat Decals
Thanks. I actually went back with the heat gun and held it longer over the letters. (I went easy to not burn a dark spot in the boat)
Goo off ain’t bad but it evaporates so quick I’m gonna go through this little can quick.

Re: Removing Old Boat Decals
Do you think a magic eraser and a light cleaner could remove sky blue smears left behind from let’s say heavy handed goof-off usage while removing old blue decals?
Not for me, asking for a friend.

Magic eraser will take it all off at the same time.
I did the hair dryer thing and it got the decal off, but left the glue residue behind. Tried goof off and a scraper to get the glue off but it just made a slimy mess.
Auto Zone carries them.
I’ll give you whats left of mine if you’re in Tallahassee. I used about half the wheel.
