St Marks Day Trip

Post by leesburgga »

Put the boat in the water for the first time in two years yesterday. Boat ran good and cooperated better than the fish did. Had a few short trout and could have sunk the boat putting pin fish in it. Did get checked by State guys. Very friendly and got a sticker for being in compliance. Welcome them on the water in any time. All in all a good day. Just look to pick up a few more fish next time.

Thanks for the report. Glad you had a fun day. You weren't alone. Apparently 10,967 other boaters decided to go on Saturday judging by the number of trailers rolling past the boat barn while I was doing some maintenance. :o

Silver king, you are right about that. Wasn’t bad when we launched about 10 am but when we got back about 3:00, it was packed. Honestly not sure where all of the boats were. I think I saw way more empty boat trailers than I saw boats.
