GLWS. Nice little unit. My buddy always says Garmin are like Macs while Lowrance are PCs. Very intuitive to operate.

Thanks SK! It’s a very user friendly unit. Doesn’t have a million buttons or settings lol. It came on the boat and I’m just wanting to go to something bigger and with side imagining for the local lakes around here. I bought a 2016 cast and blast 17cc. It’s a neat little boat and I like it so far!

Yep, I've got the 74DV. Works very well on my Beavertail.

Those Cast & Blast are cool boats. A member on here has one also and he really likes his.

yes sir,

this is straight from the Garmin website, you would just need to wire this power cable into your existing one.

There are four wires contained within the power cable bundle. The Blue and Brown wires transmit user data or NMEA 0183 sentences.

•Blue is Transmit Positive (Tx+). Connect this to the Brown wire of the second device.
•Brown is Receive Positive (Rx+). Connect this to the Blue wire of the second device.
•Black is Ground. Connect both Black wires to the same common ground.
•Red is Power. Connect this to a positive power source.

Does it have coastal or lake maps?

53 should be lake

I will double check the data plate if that's the case. it will pick up the coast as to when I'm on my local lake, I don't get anything. the guy I bought the boat from lived in cross city, makes sense to have the coastal maps.
