After work hunt. 11/4/20
I get home at 5:15 and my wife says “you should go get in the stand”. So I grab my orange and gun, and walk on down. When I get in the stand a 6point is already at the feeder. We need meat so I contemplate shooting it.
But he is small so I don’t. I watch him feed for quite a while. Then he finally moved off about 15 minutes to last light. 7-8 minutes later a doe comes out. I think it probably button buck I saw the day before with a horse of a mama. Figured she’d be along soon. Then a big body starts to step out. I figured it’s her but look through binoculars anyway. All I see is antlers!! Drop the binos and grab my gun. Seamed like forever for it to turn towards the doe. Meanwhile my heart was pounding. I settled on the neck and dropped him. Woohoo!!!
Wife and I struggled to get it in the truck. And off to Dean’s in Pavo.
What a pig. Freezer gonna be full.
So glad my beautiful wife pushed me out the door today. What a blessing.

When the wife says “you should go get in the stand” the only answer is yes ma'am! Nice buck! He looks to be pretty old from the pics.

That’s awesome Greg, I know your proud of that beast. Is that the biggest you’ve killed on your food plot?
