24’ Naturalist Canoe

Post by SHOWBOAT »

Larger than it looks in pictures! Was inherited by my wife from her father in 2017. I’m told he used it to duck hunt 10k islands area. I’ve seen it on water twice. The day we received it I ran it from Eagle harbor to the tip of Cape San Blas. My wife also ran it with two girls from my house on Lake Iamonia to the Fish Camp about a week later. It was too long to sit under the boat house, so I put it on a trailer and it has basically sat since. Hasn’t been run since 2017. Today I pulled the 25 hp, 4 stroke Yamaha that pushed it ~30mph and have plans for the motor. My MIL towed it from FT Lauderdale in 2017, but it really hasn’t been trailered since. Decent galvanized trailer. Switch panel with bilge, spot lights, nav lights, under water lights ,etc, but I can’t really say what may work at this point. Fairly nice stake out pole and clamp. Good storage. One of a kind!

$1100 obo. Busy week with work next week, but largely available the week after. If not gone by 3/1 I’ll try Craigslist.

It is unique. Very stable. You can walk a gunnel without feeling tippy. I wasn’t overly excited the day we had it at CSB, but it proved very sea worthy in less than perfect conditions. Alternatively, It is not as shallow as anticipated. Somebody make an offer.
