Tripletail fishing
So are they showing up around St Marks area? I hear that Appalach is the hot area for them, just wondering if they show up from St Marks to AP?
Figure to try it, just dont know where yet. With the summer heat I figure this kind of fishing will keep you on the move.

You won't find the numbers nor the size that you do towards apalach. Few and far between here - best to go west

Yes, but don’t doubt yourself they still can be found in our area. I’ve caught several and never targeted them around here. They are pelagic fish and travel through during the summer months. Agree, best bet is apalach. They have been slaying them lately! I will be down there in two weeks and definitely going after them.FishWithChris wrote: June 18th, 2022, 5:51 pm You won't find the numbers nor the size that you do towards apalach. Thanks guys. I do think I'm gonna go west. Where is a good place to stay in Appalach?

I went fishing out of Econfina with a friend two weeks ago and we caught 4 shorts. The biggest one was 17.5" They were hiding under a crab trap buoy!Redbelly wrote: June 18th, 2022, 10:16 pm Thanks guys. I do think I'm gonna go west. Where is a good place to stay in Appalach?

Follow the buoy line out of Appalach.
In the past I have seen some very big fish there and also caught a few of the smaller ones.
