Saturday trip
Water was cooler than expected, but warmed up quick. Fished along grass lines and into some creek mouths. Wound up with 10 reds and one trout. All the reds were cookie cutter - 19-21". Had a very cool encounter with a manatee. It just followed us for about 5 minutes.
We were just drifting and it was very interested. Came up right behind the boat and watched us take the pic. Stayed near us for about 30 minutes. Pics to follow

Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?

Re: Saturday trip
St Marks - went east
yeah, it was like 74 in the am when we got there at about 7:45. Surprised me. I actually jumped in later in the day on a bar to cool off and was surprised how cool the water was in about 3 feet.
I tried topwater early in the am and had a lot of follows with that telltale redfish wake, but nothing would strike. My g-nephew was catching on a jig so I just switched.

Good day for sure.
Grasslines seem to be the ticket still. I’ve been seeing a lot of fish in the creeks, but they’ve been lock jawed for whatever reason.

In one of the creek mouth. First time I looked. About 8:00 or so. I am sure it was just surface temp but still pretty cool.
