Panacea 6/29
Decided to run out of mashes sands Saturday morning, never been out of that ramp before but we decided to run out to the K tower for a little bit.
We rolled out of shell island early that morning and headed out to the deep
I figured this would be a short trip
We stopped on our first mark and it was nothing but pigfish so we moved a little deeper and found some snapper trees but our squid wasn't strips and we couldn't keep bait on the hook to catch anything other than grunts.
So we moved to another spot to troll plugs and proceeded to hook a Goliath that proved that even my penn set to sunset could still have line stripped off of it. But that turned out to be the highlight of the trip, the storm cloud we saw decided to produce lightning and we trolled back in a ways to catch some bonita. So we decided to head in to go to cooter stew at lunch
But I did get entry 2 for the cca star
And the cat got sushi at shell Island
Still a good trip even if the fish fry at the end was bass filets from home

Looks like a great day! Some good eating, never spent a bad day on the water. Thanks for sharing!

No, it's a buddy of mines key West 219fs which is not nearly as impressive as I had thought it would be, I actually rather fish out of the bay reef model.John21:6 wrote:Is that a new boat?
I haven't convinced my wife that I need a 24ft bulls bay just yet.

Pre COVID she was fussing because I wouldn't buy a new boat and now she's like there's nothing wrong with the stott craft, if I get serious about buying a new one I guess it'll be a surpriseFTReelty wrote:You aint trying hard enough!

Sometimes it’s best to ask forgiveness than permission… never seen anyone complain in a new boat watching the sunrise/sunset..
