Aucilla Trip

Went one last time(until fall break) this past Saturday with my 18 year old who is now off to UGA. We had a great July and caught lots of trout. Saturday we started at 6:30, high tide and tried for redfish in close-no love, but did see TONS of mullet in schools in 2-3 feet of water-they were everywhere! Moved out to 7-10 feet fishing on bottom with white pearl z-mans. Water temp was a little cooler at 85-87. Moved around alot but managed 8 trout and 3 rock bass. bunch of shorts. It was a little rough, mostly 2 feet, but some 3's mixed in. A great day and lots of good memories over the past 6 weeks fishing at Aucilla.

Good luck to your 18 yr old in Athens, hopefully not ending up in school as long as I did .
