Econfina the last few weekends

Post by dombern34 »

we've been fishing Econfina pretty hard this last month the last 3/4 weekends have been really successful with little effort!

sounds cliche but we really did lose count on the amount of fish we caught. reds were thick in just about every creek. cabbage creek and pitts produced a ton. sheepshead were stacked in the mouth of cabbage. Gold spoons, jig on the bottom and Top Water has worked really well.

seems like they're chewing on everything. trout are also there as well. we found them in the creeks and on the shallow flats. it's just a good time to go if you can make it!

water was gin clear and water temps have been consistently staying around 70-73 degrees.

been going out on a low tide and fishing the rising- seems to be what's working.

I have been hearing the same reports from lots of folks, me included. :D
Conditions like these sure make it fun to be out enjoying our fishery and incredible environment. Y'all get out and get some fishing done!

It almost looks like you could drive to that Cabbage Creek on Google maps. Almost…not quite. And I’m sure if you got out and walked you’d walk to what’s at the start of every creek. Muck. But maybe I’ll try it anyway.
