Trying to Catch Redfish

Hi everyone, I am still fairly new to Florida and one of my absolute favorite hobbies is fishing. Any tips for a newbie red grouper fishing? Thanks for the help!

The title of your post says "redfish". Then you mention "red grouper". Locally, redfish references "Red Drum". Red Grouper is a different specie and they mostly live in different areas and are targeted differently.
Which one, specifically, are you targeting?
