Jim Woodruff Fishing

Hello, Im new to the area (Tallahassee) and looking to catch some blue cats at the Jim Woodruff damn. I’m fishing from the catwalk. I was wondering if anyone could help provide some tips. I know shad/eels are best but I have no idea how to get my hands on it. Most bait and tackle shops don’t seem to have it. I’ve also been using a 3 way swivel with a lighter line connected to my weight to save the rig. Can someone help out? Thank you.

You can get dried shad at any WalMart. I use cut bait when jug fishing for blues. Cut or whole bream.
