Good to see a few die hards still here. I'm catching a few trout in Panama City, but very few and they're small

Its a great shame this Forum appears to be dying.
I have some good memories of the area and the people I met through this Forum.

I was surprised that when the Florida Sportsmen Forum shut down, this one didn't really take off.
Many of the contributors over there also posted and viewed here.
I have heard that lots of local sportsmen have formed Facebook groups and post there.
Its all very sad.

Re: Chirp Chirp
I know it seems like no one is posting, but for me and some others we were hit hard here in Georgia by the hurricane, we are still cleaning up and rebuilding, and not had time to go or even think about going. It took over four weeks just to get my boat out from under the shelter. the contractor just got thru with our roof 3/21. Have not given up, just not had the time.
What is crazy is our place at Keaton was ok. BUT not here. Tight Lines

Re: Chirp Chirp
My fishing buddy made it fine through Helene and then the shelter decided to collapse on the boat after 9in of snow so with that plus him having surgery and several funerals I took have not actually went inshore fishing in 2025 except the one trip with Asa.
Re: Chirp Chirp
Hopefully I'll post a report Thursday, I'm leaving the trout alone this time and hunting some pompano and maybe a cobia on Wednesday. Now watch it storm on Wednesday. :
Edit: Got to the ramp and there was 20 - 30 mph winds, so gave up the pompano plans for the back waters and trout again. It was very rough, but managed a 28" red and 73 trout. (4 legal), by noon, so still a good day.

Re: Chirp Chirp
Most regional forums I frequented over the years have gone away or have little activity (like this one). The larger national forums are still around because of the audience size, but they are still less active. Facebook is an easier platform for the users and site maintainer. It's sad in a way, but also the natural progression.Cranfield wrote: March 29th, 2025, 10:44 am I was surprised that when the Florida Sportsmen Forum shut down, this one didn't really take off.
